Navratri at Adhyyan Craftsmanship: Celebrating Divine Feminine Energy through Rituals and Festivity

Navratri at Adhyyan Craftsmanship

Navratri, meaning “nine nights,” is a celebration that honours the divine feminine energy with various rituals and practices. At Adhyyan Craftsmanship, our NGO takes this opportunity to bring together the women of our community, immersing them in cultural activities that foster an environment of festivity, devotion, and unity.

The heart of our Navratri celebrations lies in the transformation of our workshop into a vibrant and festive space. Decorated with colourful drapes and lights, the workshop becomes a place of warmth and spiritual energy. A beautifully adorned altar is set up, where an idol of goddess Durga is placed. This sacred space, surrounded by lamps, flowers, and traditional offerings, serves as the focal point for the prayers and rituals that define Navratri.

Throughout the nine days, the women engage in these rituals, offering their prayers and participating in the communal spirit that Navratri embodies. The celebration is not just about devotion but also about coming together to share the joy and warmth of the season.

A significant part of our Navratri tradition is the preparation and sharing of special meals. Traditional dishes like puris, chole, and halwa are lovingly prepared and enjoyed by all members, adding to the festive atmosphere. These meals symbolize the abundance and blessings that Navratri brings, making the celebration even more meaningful.

At Adhyyan Craftsmanship, Navratri is more than a festival; it’s a celebration of the divine feminine energy, cultural heritage, and the power of community. Join us as we honor these nine sacred nights, embracing the spirit of devotion and festivity.
