Ganesha Chaturthi, the festival of new beginnings and the remover of obstacles, holds a special place in the heart of Adhyyan Craftsmanship. Since the inception of our creative initiative, our founder, Miss Arisha Rastogi, has embraced the celebration of this vibrant festival. Her time spent in Mumbai during her graduation profoundly influenced her desire to preserve the rich experience of welcoming Lord Ganesha into our lives. This tradition continues to inspire and unite our community.
A Tradition Rooted in Mumbai’s Spirit
While studying in Mumbai, Miss Rastogi was captivated by the grand celebrations of Ganesha Chaturthi, where the streets come alive with music, colors, and devotion. The energy and spirituality she experienced during this festival left a lasting impact on her, prompting her to carry the tradition forward as part of Adhyyan Craftsmanship. Through this celebration, we not only honor Lord Ganesha but also express gratitude for the blessings we receive.
Handcrafted Clay Ganesha Idols
At the heart of our Ganesha Chaturthi celebration is the crafting of clay Ganesha idols. The ladies of our NGO pour their creativity and devotion into these eco-friendly idols, each one uniquely designed and handcrafted with care. These clay idols symbolize purity and devotion, and by creating them, our artisans feel a deep connection with the tradition and the divine.
Daily Rituals and Offerings
From the moment we welcome Lord Ganesha into our space, we perform daily worship with great reverence. Every morning and evening, we gather for pooja and aarti, presenting offerings of fruits, sweets, and flowers. These rituals not only foster spiritual connection but also bring our community together, creating a sense of harmony and devotion. The celebrations culminate in Visarjan, where the idols are respectfully immersed in water, symbolizing the cycle of life, devotion, and renewal.
Through our celebration of Ganesha Chaturthi, we honor both tradition and creativity, blending the values of devotion and craftsmanship. This festival, infused with the vibrant spirit of Mumbai and our dedication to Lord Ganesha, continues to inspire and enrich the lives of our artisans and community.
